Do you freelance to keep going?

http://christianfictiononlinemagazine.com/biz_tips.html

This is a link to a post by my friend Janice Hanna Thompson. She is one author who does it all! She has figured out the freelance gig and is good at teaching others how to reap the benefits.

Many of us could use extra money to support our writing habits. Attending conferences, taking writing courses and buying books takes money we sometimes don't have. Freelancing is a great way to earn and learn.

It's a job that will tax your time, confidence and schedule. But it can work if you persevere.

Enjoy!

  2. You know I don't do this but I've heard it's a good idea. I think the reason is that I struggle to write only a short amount of words. I'm much more a novelist than a writer who writes only 500 words. Maybe I just need to apply myself more. I find it much easier to write long stores.

  3. Funny enough, when I rediscovered writing, I started out with articles on the craft of writing. Now, I don't have much time for writing those or the short stories that have earned me money in the past. Go figure.
