Do you ever wonder what it means when nothing seems to be happening with your writing?
My first inclination is to doubt.
My first mistake is to lean on my feelings.
My first thought should be to wait with expectancy - knowing my writing has a purpose even if God is silent.
We should be praying “God prepare me to make the most of
what you are going to do with my writing.”
Even though the timetable is God’s,
we need to be ready to execute the bigger revelation. He may be silent for a
while, but that is our chance to prepare. His silence is often a sign that He
trusts us with our faith. It’s the opportunity to dig down and grow – preparing
for the wonderful storm that is on it’s way. He gave us this gift. He will not waste it.
It's in His time.
Amazing Awaits.
What an encouraging thought! I have struggled with my writing thinking I may never be any good as a fiction writer. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSilence is not always fun, but is often necessary. Good to see you back online friend.
